Fenton Fire Honors Police Officers

Posted 7 years 18 days ago ago by News Editor

The Fenton Fire Protection District hosted a special "thank you" gathering on September 27th, 2012 for PO Dawn Neuman, Sgt. Jeff Werner and PO Chiquita Pullen.

On July 26th, 2012, police and fire responded to a house fire on May Valley Lane. The officers were inside the house where the subjects were trapped in the basement. The only way to get them out was through a glass block window. As fire personnel worked on breaking the glass, the officers comforted and remained with the victims even though conditions were deteriorating. Police and Fire were able to extricate the victims (one male, one female and one small child) safely. Fenton Fire thanked the officers for their willingness to remain with the victims in an unsafe environment. This was a great sign of their caring and compassion for the residents they serve.
