Safe Food Center | Application Instructions



  1. Print and complete the application. Answer all questions. Incomplete and/or unsigned applications will be returned and cause a delay in plan review approval.
  2. Submit plan sheets (prepared by an architect or engineer) that contain the following information:
    • Finish schedule for all areas of the establishment.
    • Floorplan layout showing all equipment and its placement.
      • All equipment is to be numbered on the floor plan.
    • Corresponding specification/cut sheets on each piece of equipment.
    • All specification/cut sheets to be linked to the piece of equipment shown on the plan sheet with the same reference number.
    • Electrical diagram that shows light locations, light intensity, and type of illumination used.
    • Two-dimensional plumbing layout.
    • Three-dimensional plumbing layout that shows where direct and indirect connections are used for each of the corresponding pieces of equipment and lavatory facilities. Also show the grease trap(s) and mop sink(s).
  3. Submit the proposed menu.
  4. Submit all applicable fees.
  5. Approximate time for plan review and approval is 20 working days.
