St. Louis County Trash Collection and Recycling

St. Louis County Government's Trash District Implementation Team has finalized its proposal to upgrade waste hauling services for one- and two-family homes and multi-family dwellings with individual curbside waste collection service in unincorporated residential neighborhoods. Key developments include:

  • A total of eight trash districts have been established in unincorporated St. Louis County.
  • Minimum level of service, including once-a-week trash removal, once a week recycling and twice-yearly bulk pickups, is now in effect.

If you have recently received a Warning Letter, Notice of Violation, or a Citation from the Saint Louis County Department of Health regarding trash service through one of the district haulers, please click here for more information.

In the case of inclement weather, for the safety of the residents of St. Louis County, there is a chance that your trash hauler may delay their weekly pickup. During these times, please contact your hauler directly to find out updated route schedules.
