On Thursday, June 11, 2009, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Dereck D. Onkle, 25 years of age, of the 4600 block of Dahlia in St. Louis, with Robbery First Degree. Onkle is currently being held on $100,000 bond. A photo of Onkle is attached and can be viewed online. On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, St. Louis County Police responded to a bank robbery that occurred at the U.S. Bank located at 700 Gravois Road in Fenton. Witnesses stated that a white male entered the bank, handed a note to the teller implying that he was armed, and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Surveillance photographs were released to the media. An anonymous tip was received identifying Onkle as the suspect. Onkle was later arrested and has confessed to the crime. Media Relations Staff:
