The 2008 contest for the 2009 Tobacco Prevention Calendar was sponsored by the Saint Louis County Department of Health to coincide with “Kick Butts Day” April 2, 2008. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade attending public and private schools in Saint Louis County were invited to submit informative and creative posters. Over 3,000 area students submitted anti-tobacco posters.

A panel of judges from the Saint Louis County Department of Health selected thirteen winning posters to be used in the 2009 Calendar. The thirteen students whose posters were selected were each awarded a $25.00 mall gift card.
