Jury Service - Severe Weather Instructions

The St. Louis County Courthouse is rarely closed due to weather conditions. During inclement weather, listen to local radio station, Newstalk 1120AM KMOX or watch local television channels 2, 4, or 5 for closings.

If it is announced that St. Louis County Government is closed, that does not mean that the courthouse is closed. The announcement must say that the St. Louis County Courthouse is closed or that jurors who were to report to the St. Louis County Courthouse should not report for that day.

If you do not hear that announcement, you should make every effort to appear. If it is your first day of service and you cannot appear, call the jury information line that morning at 314-615-2669, press 1 when the recorded information starts, and follow the instructions. If you are running late, you do not need to call in - report in as soon as you are able.

If you have already reported and have been selected for a trial in a division, you must get instructions from that division. The phone numbers for the divisions are available on this website.
