March 15, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary Election - Absentee

Please note: The March primary ballot will contain ONLY presidential candidates. Since there are no propositions or constitutional amendments on the ballot, voters must select a party preference when requesting a ballot.

If you would like to apply for an Absentee ballot for the March primary election by mail, please click this link to obtain an Absentee Application.

The last day to register for the March primary election is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.

Absentee voting for the March primary election begins on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 and will remain open during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Monday, March 14, 2016.

In-person (office) absentee voting will also be available two Saturdays prior to the election. The Election Board will be open 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5 and Saturday, March 12.
Absentee mail applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. This is the last day we are permitted to mail an absentee ballot.

Members of the armed forces, and overseas civilian voters must submit their absentee ballot application by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016.

The Election Board office will also be open until 5:00 p.m. for absentee voting on the following days: February 5, February 17, February 25, March 7, March 9, March 11 and March 14.

Change of Address Reminder -
Any person moving into St. Louis County is considered a new registration and must re-register with the Board of Elections. Address changes must be submitted by the 4th Wednesday before an election. (Example: If you move from St. Louis City to St. Louis County, you must re-register as your City registration does not automatically carry over to St. Louis County.)
If you have moved within St. Louis County, a change of address can be submitted any time.
