The Honorable Robert S. Cohen
Circuit Judge, Division 1
Judge Cohen was appointed circuit judge on July 6, 1994.
Judge Cohen attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed his undergraduate work at Washington University in St. Louis, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from St. Louis University School of Law.
After engaging in private practice, Judge Cohen was elected to two terms as St. Louis County Magistrate, 2nd District. He then served as an associate circuit judge prior to his appointment as circuit judge for the 21st Circuit Court.
Judge Cohen is a member of the Missouri Bar, St. Louis County Bar Association (where he served as president) Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Lawyers Association.
He and his wife reside in St. Louis County. They have two children.
