The Department of Public Works has an Automatic Inspection Scheduling System. By calling 615-4677, you can schedule either a drainlaying, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, residential or structural inspection. |

All inspections must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
Please note: Inspections called in on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be scheduled for the following Monday.
To utilize the Automatic Inspection Scheduling System, call
615-4677. You will be asked to enter your 5 digit permit number, then asked to enter the year of the permit. Choose the inspection category (example: electrical or plumbing), then select the specific inspection(s) to be scheduled.
You MUST stay on the line until your scheduled inspection has been verified. It will not be scheduled until it is verified.
On the day of your inspection, please have your #2 Authorization Permit Card posted and accessible for the inspector to sign. Also, your plans should be available at the job site for the inspector.
If you are unable to meet the inspector at the job site, you may place the Authorization card and the building plans in a sealed plastic bag (in case of inclement weather).
- 7:00 pm cut-off time to schedule an inspection for the following work day.
Calling in before 7:00 pm, schedules for the following work day.
Calling in after 7:00 pm, schedules for the next following work day.
Examples:
Inspections called in at 6:55 pm, Sunday will be scheduled for Monday.
Inspections called in at 7:05 pm, Sunday will be scheduled for Tuesday.
Inspections called in at 6:55 pm, Monday will be scheduled for Tuesday.
Inspections called in at 7:05 pm, Monday will be scheduled for Wednesday.
Inspections called in at 6:55 pm, Thursday will be scheduled for Friday.
Inspections called in at 7:05 pm, Thursday will be scheduled for Monday.
